| Creative Places is a creative community development project nesa is leading in the communities of Peasedown St John and the Clandown and Tyning areas of Radstock. The aim of the project is to consult, engage, involve and motivate/empower people into improving their communities. |

 |
In Peasedown St. John and the Clandown and Tyning areas of Radstock local people have been working with artists and each other to make improvements to their public and community spaces and get involved in having a say about what they think will improve their community and the quality of their lives. Under the banner of the creative places project they have:
- been consulted about play facilities and what could be done to help reduce anti-social behaviour;
- engaged in designing and making a public art work and a community garden;
- involved in positive creative activities in a variety of different media from singing to gardening;
- felt empowered to help plan further activities and even to volunteer their time and skills as the project develops.
| | The residents ideas for improving their community that came out of the consultation process were passed on to Somer Community Housing to be incorporated in their plans for the area. |
